Quilt Show |
The Western North Carolina Quilters Guild hosts the Garden of Quilts Show every other year. Quilters had the option to enter quilts for competition or display only. Quilts entered for competition were judged by Amy Pabst, National Association of Certified Judges, who provided scores and comments for each entry. The 2026 show boasted over 200 quilts of various shapes and sizes.
Countless hours of work and stitches went into every entry. Quilters spent hours selecting or creating patterns, choosing fabric, creating the quilt top, stitching the quilt sandwich, and binding. Quilters ranged in age and experience from youth to seniors and beginners to experts. All quilts were welcome.
Quilts were not only judged by an expert. They were also judged by show attendees. All attendees had the opportunity to select their viewer’s choice!
The quilt show included many shopping opportunities. There were local vendors who specialize in quilting supplies, notions, and quilted products. Show guests were also able to purchase a wide variety of hand-crafted items made by guild members from the Quilt Shop and Gallery and/or bargain hunt through hundreds of books in the Used Book Store.
The 2026 quilt show was a treat for everyone who attended!
