Let’s get out the “interesting” fabric, the fancy fabric, or the weirdest fabric that at some point, you just had to have. We all have it – at least one piece of stashed fabric in our closet or basement that we have NO IDEA how to use or need an excuse to cut into it. Let’s take out those special fabrics that spoke to you on some level and use them in fun designs. We will work together on scale and design to match the fabric types.

Make a small quilt using the theme, “Looking Out My Back Door.” The theme is inspired by a song written by John Fogerty of Credence Clearwater Revival. In the song he sees happy creatures dancin’ on the lawn and elephants playing in the band.

Your vision from any back door may be real, a dream of what you want to see or a vision from your past. Your vision does not need to be realistic. Quilts may be your own design or a pattern from your favorite designer. Your designs may include traditional or modern techniques or a combination of both. Have fun! Create something that sparks a dream, a vision from your heart, or something from your past/future.
