“Check and Double Check”

Georgia Bonesteel has donated her quilt “Check and Double Check” for a raffle quilt with donations going to the Scholarship Fund.

“Check and Double Check” uses a combination of reversible tartan plaids offset with bands of calico and hand quilted stars to create a quilt with Americana appeal. The design was inspired by a scrap of wrapping paper and a glass panel, Georgia saw in a restaurant. The quilt measures 82 inches by 94 inches.

The raffle tickets are a donation of $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The drawing for the quilt will be held on March 21, 2020 (National Quilt Day). The winning ticket holder does not have to be present to win.

Raffle tickets will be available in the log cabin at the Mountain State Fair and from guild members.

This is a unique opportunity to own one of Georgia’s quilts that was featured in her book “Easy does it Quilts”.

The Scholarship Committee.
