2023 Schedule of Meetings, Workshops and Events


You are welcome at our meetings, but please be aware that workshops and the Holiday Luncheon require reservations. Please refer to WNCQG's monthly newsletter, Grainlines, for Workshop Registration Form and Policies.

Our regular in-person meetings are on the third Thursday of the month at 10 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, corner of West 6th St. and Blythe. The programs are listed below. We look forward to greeting everyone, and meeting guests!

Mama Said Sew Pattern Designer Terri Butler will do a Trunk Show and an Overview of Deb Tucker Studio 180 Rulers
WORKSHOP: Friday (9:30/6 hours) Take Flight with Wing Clipper Ruler: Participants receive 1 free kit and the option to buy other items.

Certified Quilt Judge Katherine Zimmerman presents “What Do Quilt Show Judges Expect?” with time for question; Followed by a trunk show

The Ergonomics of Sewing OR How to Stitch Properly; by Linda Russo

Judy Gula, Owner of Artistic Artifacts & Batik Tambal will present a “Vintage to Modern: Trunk Show. Kaffe Fassett picked her shop as a stop on his recent tour for a lecture and workshops.
WORKSHOP: Friday (10:00/6 hours) Learn how to create with vintage materials and try some surface design techniques.

Nationally recognized Quilter Jill Kerttula presents a Trunk Show and slides of her award-winning quilts.
WORKSHOP: Friday (9:00/6 hours) Jill demos several ways to use your machine to create surface designs. Participants then practice the techniques on their machines.

Tennessee Quilts Shop Owner Linda Crouch will demo Judy Niemeyer Paper Piecing and give a Trunk Show
WORKSHOP: Friday (10:00/6 hours) Participants create a wall hanging called Dancing Batiks; a 4-block wall hanging with boards.
