A Victorian Keepsake - viewers' choice

A Victorian Keepsake

This original heirloom quilt depicts the life of the Rilott family marriage to the last grandchild born. Each "heartbeat" slept in the Appalachian cradle, adding another chapter. Open the announcements from the three Rilott births to each "heartbeat" asleep in the cradle. Embellishments and laces from foreigh travels and mom's tatting.

raffle quilt

The 2014 Raffle Quilt was won by Mayron Sprinkle of Arden. The quilt was designed and made by Joanne Shafer with red fabrics donated by guild members. The pattern incorporated blocks by Anita Soloman and the design program EQ7. The finished quilt was quilted by Hummingbird Quilters of Brevard, Peggy McCaffrey and Pat Leitch.
