Henderson County Quilt Block Trail

The Henderson County Quilt Block Trail, in conjunction with the Western North Carolina Quilters Guild and Henderson County Travel and Tourism, has established a trail of quilt blocks to enhance our heritage story and promote tourism in our area. Barn blocks are seen in multiple states around us as well as many North Carolina counties. The quilt block trail concept was created in Ohio in 2001. Blocks are often seen on barns, homes, historic buildings, public buildings, destination venues and businesses. Our own Henderson County Main Library has been adorned with a block. The Guild and the Flat Rock Playhouse co-sponsored one of the first blocks on the trail. Individuals and businesses are welcome to make application for a block.
