	Left "Arabic Lattice" Kay Francis, Horse Shoe, NC Not my "Great Heirloom," this is a fun lap quilt made in a John Flynn class. Quilted with a simple pattern as it is intended to be a well-used lap quilt.

"That's a Long Row to Hoe" Pat Childress, Brevard, NC This is the 2009 raffle quilt for the Transylvania Heritage Museum in Brevard, NC. The current theme is "That's a Long Row to Hoe." Quilt designed using coloring book images and the designs are done in "redwork" hand embroidery. Click on photo for detail image.	""B is for Barn" Barbara Ruff, Hendersonville, NC Mrs. Sandburg's barn is one of my favorite places. I took photos on several visits and transferred them to fabric.	"Autumn Dream" Bonnie Lucas, Mills River, NC All fabric in border is pigment/dye from plants, flowers and weeds using the flower pounding technique. Also used pigma pen, thread painting. Love the organic feel!

"Diamond in the Rough" Ruth Ann McKee, Hendersonville, NC Citrus colored version of this diamond pattern. Quilted by Cotie Campbell.	"October Mountain Breeze" Carole Carter, Hendersonville, NC Using Thimbleberries leaf block in a random pattern with my own color design, borders, and sashing. Quilted by Cotie Campbell.	"Color Fit for a King" Peggy Brown, Hendersonville, NC Quilt started as a rail fence design. Not liking it, I knew I had to do something with all the beautiful fabric. I then cut the blocks diagonally and pieced them in the current design. Quilted by Brian Fackler.

Inspired to finish by the UFO (unfinished objects) challenge, I designed the setting and finished it. Quilted by Peggy McCaffrey.

"Bees in My Garden" Jean Jones, Brevard, NC Made to display copyrighted appliqué "Tiger Lily" from the 2007 NCQ Symposium designed by Tynne Karas. Appliqué was placed on a small quilt of my design. "Bird of a Feather Flock Together" Marjorie Eberle, Asheville, NC Quilted by Cynthia Eberle All hand made and shows various birds – some of them local. All marked with their names. Click on photo for detail image.	"Japanese Inspirations" Jean Hart, Brevard, NC, with Phyllis Beeson, Margaret Gutowsky, and Jay Mizaris Round Robin. Margaret's blocks make it reversible. My son wrote Jay's three wishes for me on the front in Japanese.	"My Stars" Sally Fargo, Hendersonville, NC Made from blocks given to me as a thank-you for serving as president of the WNCQG in 2003. The blocks, like the people who made them, are all different and not one is perfect, but they make someting beautiful when working together. They are my stars!

	Left "Cat's Game" Ann Klimstra, Hendersonville, NC 9-patch blocks received in guild exchange. Blocks set on-point with pink fabric. No borders to give it an old-fashioned look. Hand quilted.

		Left "Misty Morning" Claire Rouse, Brevard, NC Misty Morning is made of ultra suide. Machine quilted to a flannel base with metallic, polyester, and perle cotton threads. Embellished with beads. Yarn couched with metallic thread and top stitched.

		Left "Red Delight" Freda Tallent, Franklin, NC Jacket with Seminole patchwork. Ribbon flowers and beads make a plain cotton jacket shine.

		Left "Reflections on Water" Betty Cabe, Franklin, NC Pieced bands embellished with beads, ribbons and machine stitching.

"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" Shelby Johnson, Brevard, NC My first quilt from a class with Jean Hart. Colorful "Storm at Sea" pattern. Machine piced, machine quilted.	"Learning with Log Cabins" Judy Stover, Hendersonville, NC This is a combination of two of my favorite things in quilting – paper piecing and the log cabin design.
